A simple but brilliant idea
Tailbreaker started as a solution to a problem. The inventor, George Otta and his father were cutting trees in the bush and when lunchtime arrived had nowhere to sit, except on the hard uncomfortable tailgate of their pickup truck. George imagined a solution — it would be nice to sit on comfortable chairs while using the tailgate as a convenient lunch spot.
George's vision extended beyond the lake. Tailbreaker would be perfect for tailgating parties at NFL, University, college, and local football games. Tailbreaker is an evolution in tailgate seating. The time had come for a better solution than sitting on lawn chairs or coolers.
Once George put the concept of Tailbreaker on paper, he set out to bring his vision to life. The first prototype was built and the process of creating the perfect Tailbreaker began. Over the next 4 years, George's original concept evolved into the durable, comfortable, and easy-to-install Tailbreaker of today.
